1. CTO/ATA/LA is a grassroots collective dedicated to the generation, exploration, support, and promotion of liberation theatre.

2. The long-term goal of CTO/ATA/LA is to establish a broad coalitional movement that invites a responsible, transitive, and dynamic aesthetic of critical consciousness. This work will foster and represent dialogue within and across diverse communities.

3. CTO/ATA/LA will cultivate vital performative environments, which include all sectors of society, in order to facilitate liberation.

4. CTO/ATA/LA will offer ongoing community-based events in the form of
workshops, educational training programs, networking services, festivals, and the promotion of projects that further the cause of liberatory theatre.

5. CTO/ATA/LA, inspired by the work of Augusto Boal and others, strives
to create a society that will expose the invisible oppressive apparatus of our prevailing culture so as to demystify the numbing effects of a commercialized world, and illuminate the personal into a larger collective culture. We encourage the cultivation of ideas, desire, and imagination, to catalyze a critically questioning community.
