We welcome university and college educators interested in learning how courses related to the pedagogy and theater of the oppressed are being implemented. Visitors to the website will find updated syllabi and research materials illuminating the various ways in which this work is being expressed. The Council supports inter-academic partnerships in the form of touring student productions, class visits, guest lectures, workshops, and other creative endeavors. This network of “applied theatre arts” practitioners heralds a growing movement in theater education and performance, one that is rooted in process-based, non-traditional paradigms bridging the divide between actor and audience.
